SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH

ACHL’s mandate in Sexual and Reproductive Health is guided by the World Health Organisation definition of reproductive health – “implies that people are able to have a responsible, satisfying and safe sex life and that they have the capability to reproduce and the freedom to decide if, when and how often to do so.”

ACHL concentrates its efforts in meeting the sexual and reproductive health needs of adolescents and youths. In this regards, it is contributing to the provision of reproductive health/HIV/AIDS information and services for young people, family planning especially condom programming, gender-based violence prevention, and prevention of drug abuse. Other services include improving access to HIV Counselling and testing and the syndromic management of STIs. We also contribute to proving youth-friendly services for young people including the key populations.
